Thigh High
I’ll bet there is more than one of my readers who would like to lick those creamy thighs.
♥
Now, I’ve heard of the expression “creaming my shorts”, but I thought that meant you were supposed to cream your own shorts!

So, the kat is a little messy with his saucer of milk . . . what the hell did you think was happening in these photos?

Just wanted to say hi… I’m a longtime lurker, and enjoy the wit and good writing in your blog. As a fellow adorer of felines (I have 5), I thought I would write in and mention that milk is bad for cats; i.e., it’s difficult for them to digest, and often causes diarrhea. If you know this already, I sincerely apologize for butting in. Whatever the case, though, I’d still like to suggest buying the special cat milk that the pet supply stores (and many supermarkets) carry and giving that to you kitties instead.
Here’s a joke for you that you probably have already heard before: What do you get when you cross an agnostic, an insomniac, and a dyslexic? Someone who stays up all night wondering whether there really is a dog.
Thanks for all the entertainment and interesting ideas on your blog–keep up the great writing!

Well hullo catlover! Thanks for delurking and for your kind words. No apology necessary for sharing your wisdom. I am lactose-intolerant myself so I know all about the dire [giggle] consequences that regular milk can have. The kat in question is diabetic and somewhat frail at his lofty 12 years of age [which is about 80-something in kat years]. He is not always hungry when I administer his twice-daily insulin shot and as a consequence he started having seizures a couple of years ago. After a $350 trip to the animal ER, I figured out that his blood-sugar was going out of whack because he hadn’t eaten. After some trial and error [and much cleaning up of kat piss n’shit] I discovered that if I simply give him a tablespoon of cream then he stays stable until he is ready to eat! The other kats mostly ignore the cream dish. Amazingly, diabetic kat does not get diarreah from the cream … but only on the now rare occasion when he has a seizure. Like last night when I arrived home from work exhausted, hungry, and bearing an ill-afforded bag of take-away food … and had to clean [a] the kat, and [b] the carpet in three different rooms.
Please keep on coming back, I appreciate every single one of my wonderful readers. Well . . . except for one or two of the less gracious ones.

I should have known that a devoted cat mom like you would know what she’s doing!
Good for you that you figured that out about the cream etc. Thank goodness my five are all pretty stable, although I know what it’s like to go through carpet cleaning etc. A little less than a year ago, I adopted #5–a filthy and sick abandoned 6-week-old. (I’m especially a sucker for the ones that need the most help.) I brought him home, and lo and behold, all of the other four got infected with/affected by giardia, parasites, fleas, and severe respiratory infections. (The little one had EVERYTHING.) For six weeks, everyone was puking, sneezing (everything in my house was sprayed with cat snot), and feeling horrible. I got no sleep, since I was (a) constantly worried, and (b) cleaning around the clock. $5,000 later plus a couple of hospitalizations, everyone got better. #5 is a happy member of the household (loved and accepted by all), and everyone has been healthy and content. I NEVER want to go through that again! So, I empathize with your plight. I also applaud the care you give to your cats. I sound like a cliche, but who needs a man when I’ve got such nice, warm bodies to sleep with every night?
(That, and B.O.B.!) Take care–

You are a clever thing, aren’t you?

To be perfectly honest, I was suspicious…
