Public Service Announcement
I just upgraded to the latest and not-so-greatest-thus-far version of WordPress. Unfortunately, the new version, despite having some fabulous upgrades and new features, also has a shitload of bugs. This means that all of my quote marks are being mangled, my swear words are being blocked (crissakes, I’m a grown-up and it’s MY website!!!) . . . and worst of all? I cannot post photos without having to jump backwards through flaming hoops of fire. If this keeps up, I’ll be back to posting at LiveJournal.
Standby. Your assumed patience is much appreciated.

Don’t you just love…”improvements”? Hang in there!

I had a hard time getting that stupid pic on my profile to post, so I finally had to save it on my flickr page and link from there. Upgrades are supposed to make things better, right? RIGHT??????

Myra: Right, improve THIS!
Andria: I talked to Pete and he did a quick check on the WordPress Forums; turns out there are a LOT of angry programmers out there which should hopefully mean that the photo-posting issue, at least, ought to be fixed before too long. Fortunately, I’ve got enough drafts ready to cover my updating fix for the next couple of weeks. Sheesh.

Yuck…this so called “upgrade” doesn’t sound so great…

Well if you are having to jump backwards thru flaming hoops to post pictures anyway… how bout pictures of said backward flaming hoop jumping?
THAT would be hot!!!
Seriously tho, every time I get closer to getting a domain name and using WP I hear some horror story like this.

You have a reserve of posts? Does this mean you’ve been holding out on us?

FunkyBee: Right now, it’s a disaster! I have to go back through all my posts and search for the “bad code” that has replaced my quotation marks and replace them. There’s at least 13 of them . . . once the bugs are fixed it’s going to be GREAT. Once the bugs are fixed . . . however long that turns out to take.
Nuke: Ever heard the expression “figuratively speaking”?
HRT: Yes, I am holding out . . . because I have roughly 250+ readers and approximately 5 regular commenters. It’s a waste of my time and effort to post daily, so I may as well hoard a few articles for when I am sick or have writer’s block. Or for situations such as this. [eyeroll]

HA! The F-word bug hit you too. I was deeply saddened when it hit me.

That’s funny, I thought they called you a hoar for other reasons. My bad.
