A: [sigh] it’s the southeastern county of England. It’s known as “the Garden of England” because it’s so pretty. Think: White Cliffs of Dover, Canterbury Cathedral, Rochester, Gravesend, the English Channel, close to London, numerous castles, people who speak clearly.
Q: Is that near Liverpool?
A: About as “near” as Los Angeles is to New York. Liverpool is northwest.
Q: Do you still have an accent?
A: Yes. I even type phonetically sometimes to reflect the way I speak.
Q: Where is your family?
A: In England.
Q: How often do you see them?
A: I have no contact whatsoever with the evil bahstads. Nor do I want to. If they were to move to the States then I would move to Australia.
