After talking to you at length on the telephone yesterday regarding the problem I was experiencing with renewing my vehicle registration online, and after arguing at length that I was fully aware of my own vehicle license plate number, I subsequently double-checked my license plate number. It turns out that I have been awarded First Place in the Idiot of the Week Contest! It also turned out that I was utterly, incontrovertibly, totally WRONG about my very own license plate number, the same one I have had for three years, the very same one I swore up and down to you on the phone ended with TPK and which in fact is TKP as you tried valiantly to tell me. One would think that I, born and raised in England, would have used the mnemonic of “teacup” to remind me, but alas I wasn’t smart enough to think of that. I have now succeeded in renewing my registration online (amazingly I was able to turn the computer on without help!) Please accept my most profound apologies for my idiocy. I would have called to tell you over the phone, but my mouth seems to be rather full of humble pie.
