Sorry to hear about your being laid off dearie. I was going through the same thing myself until three days ago when I finally found employment. It took me months and months and several days ago I actually started to panic. Now, I have it better than most because I paid cash for my house but I was down to my last 400 bucks and things were looking grim. I just kept following up and putting in at least three resumes per week.

Finally on Wednesday I was going to follow up at various places when I got the crazy idea to call back a place that almost hired me a month earlier but couldn’t quite tip over my way. I called and the manager (who really liked me) asked me if I was psychic. I said “YES, about what?” He said he was just going to call me because they’d had a change of heart and decided to commit to hiring me. And ten minutes earlier I had been washing the dishes and telling Jackson that I didn’t know what I was going to do now. Just like that my life was made better. It’ll happen to you too, I know it.
