Phlegm Fatale

For the past week I have been experiencing my Fifth Annual December Bout of Ickyitis … with no relief presently in sight. I blame this on living in Texass. Mainly because this is where I have been living for the past nine years while quietly plotting my eventual relocation. I suspect it is some kind of additional misery brought on by the year-round “seasonal” allergies that 99.9% of Texass residents glumly live with while supporting the antihistamine industry. Actually, I don’t even know if this is allergies, or a cold, or The Dreaded Lurgy. In the meantime, if anybody would like to apply to be {a} my Bestest Friend Forever Or Until You Annoy Me Or I Run Out of Uses For You; {b} my Temporary Sugar Daddy [sorry, there will be no conjugal activities]; {c} my Temporary Sugar Mama [see condition under {b}]; or you would simply like to do something constructive [such as send me wads of cash] to help me Escape From Texass, please email me for the application form and contract.

The beautiful Texass city of Austin quite seriously touts itself as “The Music Capital of the World” [apparently, London, Los Angeles, and New York do not count]. I have, however, come up with a better, or at least more accurate, slogan …

Texass

The Allergy Capital of the World

Time to bust out the skimpy summer clothes and go flirt with your Doc for samples!!!

    Yay.

  2. warcrygirl Says:

If you’re running from allergies do NOT move to NC. I didn’t even have allergies until I moved here.

    DK has the cooties!!!

Cardigan: This is TEXASS, remember? Right now the temperatures are in the low 70s so the summer clothes have yet to be put away! (Trust me, it will get cold soon though.)

WarCry: Per our environmental (he puts the “mental” in environmental) attorney at work: Central Texas has the greatest density of species of flora in North America. There is more stuff here to be allergic to than anywhere else. (”Stuff” is a highly technical and legal term.)
