For the past week I have been experiencing my Fifth Annual December Bout of Ickyitis … with no relief presently in sight. I blame this on living in Texass. Mainly because this is where I have been living for the past nine years while quietly plotting my eventual relocation. I suspect it is some kind of additional misery brought on by the year-round “seasonal” allergies that 99.9% of Texass residents glumly live with while supporting the antihistamine industry. Actually, I don’t even know if this is allergies, or a cold, or The Dreaded Lurgy. The beautiful Texass city of Austin quite seriously touts itself as “The Music Capital of the World” [apparently, London, Los Angeles, and New York do not count]. I have, however, come up with a better, or at least more accurate, slogan …
