Liquid Lucidity
Am I the only one here who lucid dreams? “Lucid dreaming” means dreaming while knowing you are dreaming. Usually I will be well into a dream before I’ll notice that something just isn’t “right” and I’ll become aware that I’m dreaming. At that point I can start to manipulate the dream. It’s not like it happens to me all the time, but it happens often enough to be considered somewhat unusual.
I had one particularly interesting lucid dream a long time ago. I dreamed that I was a pregnant Cherokee squaw and that my time was near… The labour pains had become urgent, the baby was coming. I was squatting on my heels preparatory to giving birth… I could smell the buckskin of the tepee in which I laboured… the smell of the fire in the middle of the floor… I could feel the soft brush of the other squaws’ hair as they bent over to mop my forehead… At the precise moment of birth, I woke up screaming. Glancing at the clock I saw that the time was 5:03 a.m. At the time of the dream, I had absolutely no desire to have a baby. At the time of this dream, I had no idea what birthing position an Indian woman would have used. I knew nothing about giving birth and assumed that everybody gave birth on their backs! The day after the dream I got a phone call from a friend whose mother was a full-blooded Cherokee Indian. My friend’s uncle (also full-blooded Cherokee) had passed away during the early hours of the morning… 5:03 a.m. to be precise…
I’m going to give you all just one guess at my favourite thing to do when I lucid dream … I have caused myself to have some pretty intense multiple orgasms while lucid dreaming — which is something that I’ve never accomplished while awake! Although there are times when the dream sequence will break and I have to finish things in the real world. If you are lucky enough to be sleeping next to me and you see me twitching and moaning… DO NOT WAKE ME UP! I’ll tell you all about it later. After I get mine.
